This presentation addresses the need for residency faculty to design interactive, evidence-based presentations that adhere to adult learning theory. By first discussing the history and key players in adult learning theory (andragogy), then utilizing the adult learning principles of Dr Jane Vella and others, participants will learn how to develop learning events that apply adult learning theory principles and practices. Furthermore, they will explore these methods using the interactive Aim to Act Toolkit and outline their very own presentation using Vella's 8 Steps/4 A's and tools from the Aim to Act Toolkit.
