Overcoming Barriers to Peanut Allergy Prevention (T. Jacobs)

04-24-2023 11:16

Guidance from NIAID, AAP and the Dietary Guidelines for Americans encourages the introduction of peanut foods to infants as early as 4-6 months to prevent peanut allergy development. Despite the evidence, a number of physicians are not yet championing the intervention with families in their care. Dr. Theresa Jacobs, MD presents the science behind early introduction and helps providers overcome barriers -- both their own and those from parents -- so more children have the opportunity to live free from the burdens that come with a food allergy.
