Using self-directed learning and self-assessment to engage millennial learners and improve learning outcomes

This session highlight sfive novel ways to use online tools, including podcasts and virtual patient cases, to improve the engagement and learning outcomes of millennial students. We review use of team-based learning and self assessment as strategies for working with students. Survey data highlighting what online tools students use frequently and find most helpful in preparing for family medicine clerkship is presented.
