Ethiopia Health Aid, a California-based NGO, has established a hospital network in rural Ethiopia, several hours south of Addis Ababa, in the poorest region of one of the poorest countries. We will describe our development, our partnership with a new private "tertiary" hospital, Adama General Hospital and its new Medical College, mass screening and outreach in a remote village, and our new hospital nearly completion in Arsi Negele to serve as a pipeline for new physicians in an area with a physician to patient ratio at 1:30,000 or worse. From our first mission trip in 2011 with 2 members, we completed our fourth mission in May 2014 with 22 members, as a multi-disciplinary team. We discuss the challenges faced, obstacles encountered and lessons learned. FMDRL_ID: 4948#AAFPFamilyMedicineGlobalHealthWorkshop #Conferences #2014
