Poster summary of module and results of evaluation. Also uploaded are the materials that will allow you to replicate this learning module in your own program. Our aim was to design a self-directed learning module for enhancing patient-centered communication skills that would be efficient in terms of both learner and faculty time. The objective of the study was to obtain the learners’ appraisal of the effectiveness and value of the learning module and its various components. Conclusions: This self-directed learning module in patient-centered communication skills, built around the online training made available by the University of Washington Department of Family Medicine, was a worthwhile curricular addition for both graduate and undergraduate medical education. This module can be easily adopted by other programs and may be especially valuable for programs with limited behavioral sciences resources, as it required minimal expenditure of faculty time.#Communication #Medicalstudenteducation #ConferenceonMedicalStudentEducation #ResidentEducation #2017
