Stimulating student interest in family medicine remains an important challenge. Medical student interest is complex and factors influencing specialty choice are multi-factorial. Family medicine organizations, departments, and faculty continue to develop a portfolio of strategies to increase student interest. This session will review the factors affecting student interest and specialty choice, national data regarding current interventions, and provide a forum for several successful programs to discuss best practices.
