Conclusions: This self-directed learning module in patient-centered communication skills, built around the online training made available by the University of Washington Department of Family Medicine, was a worthwhile curricular addition for both graduate and undergraduate medical education. This module can be easily adopted by other programs and may be especially valuable for programs with limited behavioral sciences resources, as it required minimal expenditure of faculty time
