Hi all, Implementation of the Family Medicine Milestones continues to be a learning and growth process. Fully integrating behavioral health faculty in this process is critical for enhancing nuanced benefit in the evaluation of resident competence. To achieve this educational integration programs must consider how their behavioral science faculty and curriculum address Family Medicine Milestones. To help programs begin and succeed at this educational integration we offer a review of the relevant literature, highlight a model for mapping behavioral science curriculum onto the Milestones framework, and share recommendations on how to best utilize the skills of behavioral science faculty in the competency evaluation process. We have drafted a tool (it is incomplete at best) that maps individual milestones onto common behavioral science domains. We hope that this tool will achieve the following: 1. Aid behavioral health faculty learn the milestones 2. Aid in the creation or improvement of curriculum that attends to the ACGME competencies 3. Aid behavioral scientists efforts to improve their residency performance with sub-competencies they struggle to teach or evaluate. I hope everyone's memorial day was rejuvenating and reconnecting. For those who you who, have are or have family that have severed please let me thank you.
