Experiential quality improvement: engaging residents in clinical quality improvement through advocacy and leading change teams

06-21-2011 10:12

Description of an experiential quality improvement curriculum first implemented in 2007 at the UCSF-SFGH residency program. The curriculum consists of a short series of seminars and a best practice visit but is primarily based on an experiential project that residents conduct during their third year. Expectations of resident projects include incorporation of multidisciplinary teams, patient perspective and when appropriate, analysis of health care disparities. FMDRL_ID: 3358
