From Floundering to Flourishing: A Foundational Model for Early Intervention with Residents

Session materials from a presentation at the 42nd Forum for Behavioral Science in Family Medicine 2021. In this session, we describe our learner-centered approach for early intervention with residents in difficulty. This Resident Development Process allows for a variety of entry points and interventions based on the individual circumstances of the resident and with the aim of supporting and coaching residents enabling early course correction and avoiding remediation or probation.
