Intro to OMM for MDs - Workshop

This session (60 or 90 minutes) is designed to introduce allopathic physicians (MDs) to the concepts of osteopathic manipulative medicine. As osteopathy is one type of manual medicine, MDs will be paired with other participants to practice and receive OMM assessments and treatment techniques.

Upon completion of this session, participants should be able to:

1. Describe the tenets of osteopathy.
2. Assess for some somatic dysfunctions in patients.
3. Explain, in general terms, some osteopathic treatment options.
